4.Properties and Applications:

It possesses excellent heat-stability, good resistance to oxidation and radiation.Under working temperature, it can't easily happen thermal decomposition.
Its saturation vapour pressure is very low under room temperature, and changes sharply with the variation of temperature.The minimal vacuum level of 274 can reach 4x10-8mmHg and 275 can reach 5x10-9mmHg.
In generally, the most high vacuum backing stage allowable pressure is 10-1 to 10-2mmHg level.274's is 1x10-2mmHg and 275's is 4x10-2mmHg.

Absorption Capability

When the enter pressure is 10-3 to 10-5 mmHg, the absorption ability gets the top and the sucking rate can reach more than 300 t/sec.

Anti-Diffusion

Anti-diffusion connects highly with the kind of diffusion silicone oil, brand of pump, and work condition.when other conditions do not vary, anti-diffusion of 274 is 4x10-2 to 5x10-2 g/hcm2and 275 is 3x10-2 g/hcm2 to 4x10-2g/hcm2.

Widely used in metallurgic industry, optical producing industry, plastic industry, electric and electronic industry, and transmission liquid and heat-carrier at high temperature in some equipments.

RTV Silicone Rubber

1. Properties:

· Telechelic polymer, composed of polydimethyl siloxane with two active terminal and fillers and additives.
· Stored in soft metal tube, convenience operation.
· Excellent insulating properties and chemical inertness, wide working temperature range (-60℃-200℃).
· Resist water, ozone and weather aging.
· Good adhesion to lots of metal and nonmetal.
· GD-401 and GD-402 have a little erosion to metal and the characteristics of fast surface cure, send out small amount of acetic acid in the proc of curing.
· GD-406, GD-407 and GD-414 have no erosion to metal and other materials.GD-406 is designed specially for surface protection of silicon components and possess the properties of low passivaton coefficient,
good adhesion, can obviously decrease electrical leakage of core of electron tube and increase the capacity of H-voltage resistance and the silicon components have good surface self-cleaning property.
· GD-414 possesses the properties of fast-cure, good adhesion, high mechanical strength, subsidence and flow resistance.

4. How to use

Directly extrude the paste or fluids out of the soft tube.Curing take place as soon as the paste touch the moisture in the air, but they become elastomers by degree from outside to inside and solidifying time is directly proportionate to thickness of the rubber.

---Curing will fail if the work-piece is sealed up as soon as it is applied paste, so the silicone rubber must be exposed to air for a relative long time to cure thick rubber sheet.
---Curing by stage can be employed if fast deep cure is needed (spread the paste small in quality one time, repeat the process after previous spreading rubber solidified thoroughly until reaching required thickness).
---Adding 5-20 parts MgO into 100 parts GD-404, GD-405 can make deep cure and eliminate erosion of the by products (extrude the paste into beaker, put into MgO, stir till well distributed).
---If working temperature higher than 150℃ and the rubber layer relatively thick or the work-piece is air-tight, the giving off low molecular weight by products are not admitted, three stage curing process can be employed: Dry at temperature, treat at 40-50℃ in a oven of relative humidity 90%, then, dry at 180-200℃ to fulfill cure, remove low molecular weight by products and improve the propertied of the rubber.
---As packing and adhesive materials, the work-piece should be clean and dry.As packing material, lay the work-piece aside for certain time before use.As adhesion, first apply the paste to work-piece, lay aside for a little while to let the rubber layer absorb some moisture, finally, put the two waiting-for-adhering surfaces together and lay aside for 24 hours.

Notes:

  • These silicone rubbers are cured by moisture in air and emit low molecular weight materials, raising temperature and increasing relative humidity would accelerate the curing process.
  • As the volume coefficient of expansion(6-8x10-4/℃) is much larger than that of metal, it must be took into consideration when using at high temperature.
  • Packing, Storage and Transportation:

    · Packing: 50g net in soft metal tube.
    · Storage: Keep dry. Keep away from sunlight and rain during storage and transportation.
    · Shelf time: 1 year. Beyond the time, it still can be used after being tested and qualified
    · Transportation: As non-hazardous chemicals.

Silicone Resin

1. Properties:

Silicone resin are mixtures of solvent (toluene or xylene) with combined hydrolyzates of methyl chlorosilanes and phenyl chlorosilanes contain some amount of hydroxyl groups.The hydroxyl can further condensed into a hard film under heating. Solid content is 50-70% on sale.

Outstanding insulation property, high-and-low temperature-resistance, corona and electric arc resistance, water-proof.

Outstanding resistance to weather-aging, ozone and chemicals.

With silicone resin, the H-grade motor, other electric appliances would be size-small, weight-light, last-long and could be used under harsh environment.

When over loaded, the motor or other electric appliance would not go out of order and would not burn heavily.The gasses giving off are not poisonous.The remains after burning is silicon dioxide.

2. How to use:

---Dilute with toluene, xylene or solvent-petrol;
---Dip, spray or brush onto work-pieces;
---Preheated at 110-140℃ first for extracting solvents, then heated at 160-180℃, at last heated at 200℃;
---Catalyst can be added to accelerate the process, mall amount of catalyst such as naphthalene acid will improve the process a lot.Zinc-, lead-, manganese-, cobalt-carboxylate and amine could be used also;
---The amount of catalyst is decided by experience.To avoid gelating, the resin contained catalyst must be used up as soon as possible.
---The silicone resin containing some amount of aluminum powder can be used at temperature as high as 300℃, even higher.

Cautions:

---Diluent must not contain water, sulfur-containing organic stuff, pyridine and other impurities.Otherwise the adhesion would be lower, the coating film would be viscid.
---As large amount of solvent (as toluene, etc.)will give off in the processing, workshop must be well ventilated, keep away from fire.Also, labor protection is essential.
---Impurities, dirty powders, etc., could damage the insulating property, so the shops, equipment and tools must keep clean in the procssing
---Acid, alkali, carboxylate and amine quickening the cure process, lowing down the resistance to the high-temperature and damaging the insulation properties, the resins must be isolated from the above stuffs.

Silicone Grease 295

Properties:

The product is a semi-transparent liquid which is made of 201 methl silicone oil and thickening agent by the way of mixing and chemical-physical reaction.295 "D" grades mean its lower volatile matter.
Fumed silica thickened polydimethylsiloxane grease.295 silicone greases have three brands: 295-1, 295-2 295-3, and they are accordant to the standards of HG-1491-83, the 295 "D" grades are produced according to J/2-214-83's technical standards, and the detailed specifications are below.
Translucent, non-toxic, colorless, tasteless, non-corrosion.
Resistance of oxidation, resistance of low and high temperature (-50℃-180℃);

201 Dimethyl Silicone Oil

1.Main application

Widely used in some fields such as industrial producing and agricultural producing, scientific research, medical and health because of its excellent properties.
Used in electric insulating, mould unloading, anti-foaming, shockproof, rolling, anti-dirty, waterproof, resisting high or low temperature, lubricating etc.
Can be used in the temperature between -50℃ and 180℃ for a long time.In insulating air and inert gases, its service temperature can reach 200℃.

2.Properties

201 dimethyl silicone oil is a line polydimethyl-silicone fluid oil-shaped. The both ends of the product's molecular structure are filled with trimethyls and silicones.
It is colorless, clear, odorless, non-toxic, high flash point, low freezing point, low stream pressure, excellent anti-oxidation properties. Besides, it has good heat-stable, high or low temperature resistant properties.
It has small surface tension, low compression rate, good anti-shear and lubricating properties, good electric insulating, anti-electric arc, anti-moisture, anti-corona properties.

3.How to use

When used in high puncture voltage and high volume resistivity coefficient the silicone oil must be dried.
Keeping away from concentrated acid, alkili, lead, selenium, tellurium.

The work piece must be cleaned before the silicone oil contact its surface.

201-T Dimethyl Silicone Oil

1.Main applications:

Used as the floating liquid on semi-floating top so that in top's work temperature range, the top will have stable damping , and its sensitivity, accuracy, stability will be improved. Besides, the silicone oil is a special dimethyl silicone oil in semi-floating top.

2.Properties:

201-T silicone oil is a line polydimethyl-siloxane fluid oil-shaped. The both ends of the product's molecular structure are filled with trimethyls and siloxanes. It is colorless, odorless, non-toxic, non-corrosive. Besides the dimethyl silicone oil's ordinary properties, this product is small range's viscosity, high vacuum.

3.Package, storage and Transportation

In storage and in transportation, the product should avoid fire, sun, rain, and keep airing, dry.
Packed in iron drums inside of which is covered with polyethene plastic bags.
In correct package, storage and transportation, the product's shelf life is 1 year. Beyond this time, it can be still used if it is qualified after rechecking.
